“Jiyo100Saal” Mission Launched in Mohali on World Diabetes Day
MP Malvinder Singh Kang Inaugurates India’s First Functional Aging & Longevity Initiative
Mohali, November 14, 2025: On World Diabetes Day, Mohali witnessed the launch of “Jiyo100Saal”, India’s first community-based functional aging and longevity program. The initiative aims to scientifically assess people’s functional age—including strength, mobility, metabolic health, cognition, and immunity—and empower them to live longer, stronger, and healthier lives.
The program’s chief guest, MP Malvinder Singh Kang, honored senior citizens as the first ambassadors of the mission and described the initiative as “a movement that could transform India’s healthcare future.”
With over 140 million senior citizens in India and a rapidly aging population, the initiative is seen as a timely step. The “Jiyo100Saal” model was developed by Gurjot Narwal, Founder-CEO of Gini Health, who said, “A long life is meaningful only when accompanied by strength, mobility, and clarity. The future of healthcare will not be limited to sick-care, but focused on prevention and longevity.”
Endocrinologist Dr. Anil Bhansali, Dr. Beant Kaur, and Dr. Harjoban emphasized the importance of functional assessments, preventing diabetes-related complications, and maintaining muscle and bone health.
