Jawa Nomads Punjab da Tor 2020 kicked off at Amritsar

Amritsar: Classic Legends Pvt. Ltd, the makers of Jawa Motorcycles, today flagged off the Jawa Nomads Punjab Ride here at Amritsar today. The Punjab Ride, aka Punjab da Tor 2020 is the second big ride under the Jawa Nomads initiative, after the grand success of Ibex Trail 2019 in Ladakh. It is an exciting six days, five nights and 1250kms ride for 30 Jawa Nomads through the heart of Punjab. The ride will conclude in Chandigarh on March 8, 2020.
 
Jawa Nomads is an official ride programme of Jawa Motorcycles, exclusively for Jawa customers. It is more than just riding to a destination, but about riding with the purpose of giving back to the community.

The Punjab da Tor started on a spiritual note and the spirit of giving back with a seva at Shri Harmandir Sahib. During the ride, Jawa Nomads will ride to Hussaniwala with a stop at Khem Karan - graveyard of battle tanks and spend some time with the BSF Jawans, and pay tributes at Attari border by installing a Borderman statue as a tribute to the BSF Jawans who guard our borders. The nomads will also ride through scenic Harike Wetland, Ludhiana, Nakodar, Jalandhar, Nangal Dam, Anandpur Sahib before arriving in Chandigarh. Enroute, Jawa Motorcycles will also lay the foundation of its 5th dealership in the state in Bhatinda. 
 
The riders are also in for a culinary treat with visits to some of the most iconic food destinations of Punjab in the itinerary. At Amritsar, the Nomads will do a never before music & food trail that will go through Beera Chicken, Bharawan da Dhaba, A-One Kulfa & Lawrence Road. Besides, they will promote sports, heritage and meet with collectors and riders of vintage bikes.
 
Punjab da Tor aims to spread awareness about the legacy of the Jawa brand in Punjab, which has a long riding tradition, and where Jawa and Yezdi names have a deep resonance with the people. During the years when Jawa was absent, an enthusiastic riding clubs and ‘Jawa Kommunity’ in Punjab kept the brand and its legacy alive. The Ride is also aimed at reconnecting with these riders and celebrating Jawa’s unique and abiding appeal in Punjab.
 
The Punjab Ride will witness participation from celebrated Punjabi folk singer Rabbi Shergill and actress, avid biker and former Miss India Gul Panag, among others. The Punjab Ride will also include performances by renowned singers like Parmeesh Verma, B Praak and the legendary Gurdas Maan, who will enthrall the audiences through live concerts in Ludhiana, Jalandhar and finale in Chandigarh respectively.
