Jaswinder Singh from Budo Kai Do Mixed Martial Arts Federation of India Wins Gold at 4th Johor President Cup Karate Championship 2025 in Malaysia
Chandigarh, September 4, 2025: A 24-member Indian contingent of the Budo Kai Do Mixed Martial Arts Federation of India proudly represented the nation at the 4th Johor President Cup Karate Championship 2025, held from August 22 to 24 in Johor, Malaysia. Among the standout performances was Jaswinder Singh, who clinched Gold, bringing pride and honour to the country at this prestigious international event.
The Indian delegation consisted of 18 skilled athletes, 5 experienced coaches, and 1 team manager, all of whom demonstrated remarkable determination and sportsmanship. The participating players included Mohit, Ankit, Sanyog, Ashu, Rohit, Gurleen Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Lovepreet Singh, Kamalpreet Kaur, Amandeep Kaur, and Harsimrat Kaur.
Guiding them were dedicated coaches Naveen Kumar, Swaran Singh, Yogesh Kumar, Tejinder Pal Singh, and Usha Rani from Nawanshehar, who played a crucial role in preparing the team for this international competition.
Sharanjeet Singh, President of the Budo Kai Do Mixed Martial Arts Federation of India, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the entire contingent, especially to Jaswinder Singh for his remarkable achievement. He stated, “We are immensely proud of our athletes and coaches. Jaswinder’s Gold medal is a testament to the hard work, discipline, and determination of our team. The entire contingent has brought glory to the nation and continues to inspire future generations of martial artists.”
