Jammu & Kashmir to Take Centre Stage at Punjab International Trade Expo, ‘J&K Day’ Proposed

Amritsar, October 2, 2026: Jammu & Kashmir is set to get a special platform at the 20th Punjab International Trade Expo (PITEX)-2026, scheduled to be held from December 3 to 7. A delegation of women entrepreneurs from the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to discuss the participation of J&K in the expo.

The delegation was led by Himani Arora, Chair, Regional Fashion Tex Tech Forum, PHDCCI Punjab.

During the meeting, a proposal was made to organise a dedicated ‘J&K Day’ at PITEX, bringing Jammu & Kashmir’s business, investment, exports, handicrafts, cuisine, tourism and culture together on a single platform for the business community and investors from across the country.

The proposed ‘J&K Day’ will feature a Business & Investment Session, Industry-Buyer-Seller Roundtable and Tourism & Investment Presentation. Live demonstrations by artisans, a showcase of traditional J&K cuisine and cultural performances are also proposed, along with a special ‘J&K Cultural Evening’.

The initiative is aimed at providing J&K’s products, entrepreneurs, handicrafts and tourism sector an opportunity to connect with buyers, investors and the wider business community through PITEX.
