Jalandhar students win 1 gold & 1 bronze in district athletic meet

Jalandhar, August 5, 2019: CT World School emphasizes strongly on sports and physical development and believes that sports have huge impact on holistic development of a child.

Keeping this spirit alive, students of CT World School, Jashanpreet Singh Saini and Kushaan Sharma, of Grade VIII brought laurels to the school by winning one gold medal and one bronze medal respectively in District Athletic Meet (2019-20) held at Sports School, Kapurthala in Under-14 category in Shot-put and Disc throw.

Both Jashanpreet and Kushaan are enthusiastic learners and have also proved their mettle earlier by bagging Gold medal in category under 14 Kumite, Silver medal in Kata in Punjab budokan karate-do open inter school championship 2018 One Gold and One Silver in 100mtr and 400mtr race in National Youth Games, Amritsar respectively.

On this proud moment, Madhu Sharma, Principal CT World School remarked that our sports curriculum is planned and designed for students to develop and enhance skills like strength, speed, endurance, and balance and now sports has also evolved as a form of entertainment and also offers promising careers. She praised the students for their wonderful performances and wished them best for their future.

Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, Manbir Singh, Managing Director and Harpreet Singh, Vice Chairman congratulated the winners, and remarked that that such competitions offer a chance for participants to gain substantial experience, showcase skills, analyse and evaluate outcomes and uncover personal aptitude.
