Jalandhar, December 8, 2014: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya Jalandhar’s Dr Neetu Chopra (Department of Physics) has been awarded Best Teacher Award by Science Olympiad Foundation for her recognition of outstanding performance in National Olympiad in Punjab and Chandigarh State. SOF, Science Olympiad Foundation is a Registered Not-for-Profit organisation established by leading academicians, scientists and media personalities with the aim of promoting science, mathematics and computer education among students. Science Olympiad Foundation hold various examinations like NSO (National Science Olympiad), NCO (National Cyber Olympiad), IMO (International Math Olympiad) and IEO (International Math Olympiad).
Dr. Neetu Chopra, has been holding National Olympiads of the science students for last 12 years in the campus. All students of campus got these opportunities as campus is registered with the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF), New Delhi. Number of students participated in these examinations and qualified 1st level as well as 2nd level of these Olympiads and won many medals and awards in their honour. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded her and averred that she has played a vital role in organizing Science Olympiads.
