Jagirdar Bakshish Singh Waraich Commemorated in a Function at Government Hospital, Kala Bakra
Remembering Jagirdar Bakshish Singh Waraich, who donated his land to Government Hospital Kala Bakra 100 years ago, and celebrating the centenary of this great donation, the SSO of the hospital, Dr. Baljit Singh and the entire staff of the hospital, with the support of the Waraich family, organized a meaningful function in the meeting hall of the hospital.

Jalandhar, August 9, 2026: Remembering Jagirdar Bakshish Singh Waraich, who donated his land to Government Hospital Kala Bakra 100 years ago, and celebrating the centenary of this great donation, the SSO of the hospital, Dr. Baljit Singh and the entire staff of the hospital, with the support of the Waraich family, organized a meaningful function in the meeting hall of the hospital.
On this occasion, the grandson of Jagirdar Bakshish Singh Waraich, Jaspal Singh Waraich, Joint Secretary, Governing Council, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar and retired Deputy Director, Food Supply Department, Punjab, Gulbahar Singh Waraich, along with Balbir Kaur, President, Governing Council, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, Dr. Baljit Singh and Sarpanch Davinder Singh Minta graced the stage.
While conducting the event, Professor Gopal Singh Buttar shared information about the family of Jagirdar Bakshish Singh Waraich tracing from Captain Gulab Singh Waraich, a close associate of Shere Punjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh, to the present day and added that Jagirdar Bakshish Singh Waraich's sons Sardar Sohanjit Singh Waraich and Karamjit Singh Waraich and their children have successfully carried forward the tradition of public welfare of their ancestors.
In the event, SMO Dr. Baljit Singh and Jaspal Singh Waraich also expressed their feelings from the stage and said that even today, humanity is in the great need of such generous personalities and reiterated that we should also contribute our share towards society by taking inspiration from the great deeds of our ancestors.
Chief guest Balbir Kaur, mentioning her close family ties with the Waraich family, appreciated the Waraich family, all the doctors and staff of the hospital for organizing this meaningful event.
On this occasion, Jatt Sikh Association office bearers Sarbdayal Singh Randhawa, Maninder Singh Bawa, Advocate Narinderpal Singh Judge, Nirmal Singh former Sarpanch, Kashmir Singh Gadri, Kewal Singh Sarpanch Jallowal and Radhe Sham along with other dignitaries of the area were also honored.
