IVYIANS SING FOR THE NATION

Jalandhar: Students of Ivy World School participated in a Karaoke competition sponsored by LG on the occasion of the 69th Republic Day of our country. The competition evoked feelings of patriotism in the hearts of the audience and participants alike. The Branch head of LG Mr Rahul Sathi graced the occasion and was full of praises for the singing talent of the participants. The esteemed panel of judges consisted of Mr Sunny Atwal who was one of the finalists of the ‘Voice of Punjab-Season 6’. The first position was achieved by Kashvi Madhok a student of Grade 4 whose beautiful and melodious rendition of the song ‘Aye mere watan ke logon’ brought tears in the eyes of the spectators. The second position was achieved by Parmeet Kaur a student of Grade 8. Consolation Prizes were also given to Manik Sharma of Grade 9 and Tasheen Sawhney of Grade 1 who was the youngest participant in this competition. Mrs S Chauhan, Principal congratulated the winners and reminded the students that they must treasure and respect the immense sacrifice of the freedom fighters who helped India achieve its independence.
