Jalandhar: Ivy World School on Saturday held a Talent Fiesta to help the new students to explore and improve their inner hidden talent. There were many categories like Dance, Vocal music, Instrumental music, Acting, Mimicry, Poem recitation and Art related activities like painting and drawing. The students were full of eagerness to impress the judges and their enthusiasm was at all time high. As the day unfolded and the various competitions were underway the support from the cheering crowd and the positive response from the teachers helped to showcase a sea of amazing talent and capability. Every student tried to outdo the other and in turn what the audience got was a plethora of powerhouse performances. In the Acting section Ms Hashmeen of Grade 1 bagged the first prize followed by Devam Jhulka and Bhavin Aggarwal. In the senior category Sachleen and Nehamt Kaur achieved the first and second position. The participants in Mimicry who won the first three positions were Jaiveer, Arshnoor and Ayaan. In poem recitation Ishmeet, Daksh and Sehaj got first positions in different categories and Karanjeet, Harmanpreet and Ravneesh got the second position.
In the art section Charanpreet got first position followed by Yuvika, Aarush and Harleen. The students who created magic with the instruments were in order of position Inderpreet Singh , Dhruv, Shivam and Ridhima. The students who left the audience spellbound with their melodious voices were Tasheen Sawhney, Prabhprateek, Tatsat, Sukhmandeep, Samaira, Sarthak and Sukhdev.
The most popular talent on display was Dance and the judges for this competition had a tough task as the participants were not only in huge numbers but also over zealous. It was an amazing sight to watch the well choreographed performances especially of the tiny tots of Grade 1who stole the show from the seniors. Gurkeerat, Shashank, Maish Dixit, Kunwarjit and Gurnoor achieved the first position . Kaira, Krish , Hana, Mangursimran and Alisha bagged the second position. Amongst the senior students the noteworthy performances which bagged the first three positions were Sabhya, Lavindeep and Sanchit respectively. The highlight of the day was that budding and promising talent in the form of the new students was recognized and given due encouragement.
