Chandigarh, April 9, 2022: In March month, over 100 knee transplants have been performed at Ivy Hospital, Mohali successfully.
Announcing this during a press conference here on Saturday, Dr Bhanu Partap Singh Saluja, Director and Head of Ivy Institute of Orthopaedics said that the new simple and elegant ‘True Motion Technique’ (TMT) is a blessing in disguise from the conventional knee replacement procedures. Arthritis patients especially benefit from this technique. “TMT involves surgical time of only 15-20 minutes. It gives a full range of motion within 48-hrs of surgery. After a knee replacement surgery, a patient can walk within six hours of surgery with stitch-less incision and no further follow-up is required,” said Dr Bhanu who was recently awarded with the Aarogyam Award.
Dr Bhanu is pioneer in revolutionary TMT technique and advancement in joint replacement surgery.
Since its launch in 2021 , Dr Bhanu has performed the stitchless knee replacement on more than 500 patients with 100% success rate.
