Ivy Hospital launches state-of-art IVF center

Mohali, October 10, 2022: Ivy Hospital, Mohali has launched a state-of-art IVF center on Monday. Talking to media during a press conference here today, Dr. Gursimran Dhaliwal, senior consultant-IVF & programme head at IVY Fertility Center said that the centre is equipped fully to offer range of services which includes IUI ,IVF ,ICSI , laser hatching , egg donation programme, onco fertility (gamete preservation before oncology treatments) , egg for fertility preservation ( social egg freezing) , gamete vitrification, ovarian rejuvenation for poor ovarian reserve.

The center will also have a PGT-A to detect baby anomalies and special launch of Andro and Recurrent Art Failure Clinic  which is  a new concept to help couples with male factor & previous IUI / IVF failures, informed Dr. Priyanka Bhadana, senior consultant obstetrics & gynecology, IVF.

According to Dr Kanwaldeep, MD Ivy Group of Hospitals IVF, the centre was a missing link in our mother & child care department. With one stop solution for all fertility issues & under one roof, we plan to give fertility treatment of international standards but within the reach of every individual & to help plan the gift of parenthood to each desiring couple.

She further stated that over the past few years & especially Covid impact, many young couples are coming with fertility issues. Stress ,late marriages, sedentary lifestyle, unhealthy eating habits, irregular sleep patterns , diabetes, obesity ,addictions are few important reasons for rising infertility problems in India. As per recent data, infertility affects 14-15 % of Indian couples.

Dr. Balvin Kaur Ghai, consultant obstetrics & gynaecology, infertility specialist said that infertile couples go through tremendous psychological & interpersonal distress that impact their quality of life. Infertility treatments include basic evaluation to advanced treatment options like IVF to attain the dream of parenthood. IVF cycle success rates have increased to around 60-70% on an average over the years & treatment safety has improved with more comfortable treatment plans, shorter safer protocols & better results.
