Ivy centre of excellence in digestive disease sciences launched

Mohali, December 24, 2022: Ivy Hospital, Mohali on Saturday announced the launch of state-of-art Ivy centre of excellence in digestive disease sciences.

The center consists of a dedicated and experienced team of gastroenterologists, surgical gastroenterologist, interventional radiologists and medical & radiation oncologists.

Talking to the media during a press conference today, Dr. GR Verma the former head of Surgical Gastroenterology at PGI Chandigarh and presently surgical gastroenterologist & GI onco surgeon at Ivy said that each team member believes & practices collaborative approach of taking detailed history thorough examination, investigation and discussion amongst them before initiating treatment.

He further informed that the centre is specialized in the management of diseases of gastrointestinal tract including liver, gall bladder and the pancreas. Experienced gastroenterologists are competent to perform diagnostic & challenging therapeutic endoscopy to remove stones, put stents, contemplate variceal ligation/sclerotherapy etc. And to provide round the clock endoscopic services to needy patients, he said.
