Raipur, November 14, 2025: Students from ITM University Raipur made a remarkable mark on the global stage during World Space Week, by participating in the prestigious MetaAeon Series Command Hub, a worldwide online workshop organized by ARKASA in collaboration with Stardust Odyssey. The event brought together young minds, researchers, and innovators from around the world to explore the future of sustainable space exploration.
The week-long program delved into cutting-edge themes including space architecture, biotechnology, astronaut training, and human-centered design, reflecting the growing interdisciplinary nature of modern space research. Around twenty students from ITM University’s School of Life and Allied Sciences and School of Engineering took part in the sessions, contributing to vibrant discussions and collaborative research activities that bridged science, technology, and human innovation.
Among the standout participants, Lumesh Sahu (B.Sc. Biotechnology) earned an internship opportunity from the event organizers, a recognition of his exceptional curiosity and contribution during the sessions. Meanwhile, Rafia Anjum (B.Sc. Microbiology) and Mahek Nisha (B.Tech. Computer Science) were honored with the Best Research Paper Award for their outstanding collaborative work presented during the workshop.
The collaboration between ARKASA and Stardust Odyssey provided a unique platform for participants to engage with leading researchers, architects, and engineers working on real-world challenges in sustainable space development. Through interactive sessions and design-thinking exercises, students were encouraged to envision future habitats, develop bio-support systems, and design solutions for long-term human survival in extraterrestrial environments.
Commenting on the students’ achievement, Dr. Lakshmi Murthy, Pro Vice Chancellor, ITM University, Raipur, said, “We are proud of our students for representing ITM University on a global platform. Their success reflects our commitment to fostering innovation, global exposure, and interdisciplinary learning.”
The MetaAeon Series Command Hub 2025 exemplified ITM University Raipur’s mission to nurture forward-thinking innovators who are ready to contribute to the global knowledge ecosystem. The event not only broadened the students’ academic horizons but also reinforced the idea that the future of space is built on collaboration across scientific and creative domains.
ITM University Raipur continues to encourage its students to engage in international platforms that merge science, technology, and sustainability. As the world looks toward a new era of space exploration, ITM’s young scholars are already preparing to play a meaningful role in shaping that journey, driven by curiosity, collaboration, and a vision for a sustainable universe.
