ITM University Brings Industry, Innovation and Career Readiness to Campus Through a Series of Initiatives

Navi Mumbai, September 8, 2026: At ITM University, learning doesn't stop at the classroom. A series of student-led events, organised across the university's clubs and supported by industry professionals, gave B.Tech students hands-on exposure to real-world skills, from career preparation to design thinking to competitive problem-solving. The effort reflects the university's ongoing push to build a campus where growth happens well beyond the syllabus.
The Meetup Club and R&D Club opened things up with a session built around student interaction and knowledge sharing, the kind of setting where cross-disciplinary conversation and fresh thinking tend to happen naturally. Right after, the Placement and Career Development Club ran a session on placement readiness, getting students thinking about the job market well before recruitment season actually arrives.
Students also had the chance to interact directly with industry through a session led by Prerit Chandra, who offered insight into current professional expectations and real-world practice. Around the same time, the Competitive Coding Club ran an activity aimed at sharpening problem-solving, logical thinking and programming skills, drawing strong participation from students keen to test themselves against a live coding challenge and build a stronger competitive coding culture on campus.
A hands-on UI/UX workshop conducted by Ritika Singh gave students a practical introduction to interface design, user experience principles, design thinking and approaches to building user-centric digital products. The session saw participation from B.Tech students from Batches 23, 24 and 25. Separately, the Hackathon Club hosted IdeaFrame 2026, a six-hour Ideation Sprint in which student teams collaborated to develop solutions to real-world problems. 
Speaking on the initiative, Dr. Lakshmi Mohan, Pro Vice Chancellor, ITM University, said, “Initiatives like these are central to how we think about student development at ITM University. The strong participation we saw reflects our students' genuine desire to engage beyond the classroom, and it remains our priority to keep building such opportunities, ones that support both their personal and professional growth.”
Initiatives like these are what ITM University keeps building toward, a campus where you step into a masterclass wrapping up and making way for a hackathon. Here, one corridor leads to a placement session, and the other to a coding challenge. All of this is an effort to keep students engaged with activities that expose them to learning beyond the walls of their classrooms. This is the kind of exposure that prepares them for their careers ahead.
