“It was such a calming, beautiful moment” says Karuna Pandey from Sony SAB’s ‘Pushpa Impossible’ on her first rain experience

“It was such a calming, beautiful moment” says Karuna Pandey from Sony SAB’s ‘Pushpa Impossible’ on her first rain experience

Mumbai, June 12, 2024: Karuna Pandey, who essays the strong yet grounded Pushpa in Sony SAB’s Pushpa Impossible, often reflects the quiet power of simplicity—both on-screen and off it in real life. Much like her character, Karuna believes in cherishing the little joys of life, and nothing defines that better than the magic of the first rain.
Recalling the season’s first showers, Karuna shared how perfectly timed it was with a rare unit-off day. “I remember the first rain… I was at home, just chilling with my dogs and sipping chai in the evening. The rain came in suddenly—the wind started blowing heavily, and then it poured. Everything felt instantly fresh.”
She adds, “The next morning, I woke up to see fresh leaves everywhere, and the trees looked so green and alive. It was such a calming, beautiful moment. I didn’t step out, but nature came right to my window. As I love dancing, I also listened to some music and tried to practise a few steps, and it was a very happy day”
Sometimes, the perfect pause comes not during grand moments, but in still ones—and for Karuna, that monsoon evening was just that.
