Jalandhar: The IT Forum of Department of Computer Science of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organised Tech Fest- an interschool competition.
Various competitions which were organised underneath were- Business Idea Presentation, Picture Captioning, Photography, Poster Presentation, Solo Dance, Gustakhi Maaf, Website Designing, Declamation, Poetical Recitation, Mobile Application Idea Presentation. More than 200 students from 22 schools of Jalandhar and around participated in this fest.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra also extended warm welcome and thanked all the school teachers for making the show a grand success. She appreciated the role they played in the remarkable work of students who participated and showcased their talent. She also recognised the value of the teaching fraternity in general who have never stopped working and helping their students even amidst COVID-19. Congratulating all the winners and their teachers, she hoped for such more alliances in future as well. She also added that the college is ready to take all the students from the schools tomorrow to contribute in their bright and successful future.
Dr. Sunit Kaur, Vice Principal and Head, PG Department of English warmly welcomed the various school teachers and took them to a virtual tour of college and introduced them to the various facilities, achievements of the college. She also talked of the vital role the school teachers play in shaping the career of students. Special dance performance was performed by the students of Dr. Santosh Vyas from Department of Dance.
Principal Dr. Neerja Dhingra also mentioned the efforts of Department of Computer Science especially - Dr. Roopali Sood, HOD and Dr. Jagmohan Mago for successfully organising this event.
The Overall Trophy was bagged by Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg while 2nd prize was bagged by Swami Sant Dass Public School, Jalandhar and 3rd prize was bagged by Police DAV Public School and Cambridge International School for Girls, Jalandhar.
