IT Department of Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions organised webinar on Big Data Analytics

Jalandhar: With an objective to explore and add value to student’s knowledge of BCA and MCA with techniques of analyzing Big Data, IT department of Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions organized webinar on “Big Data Analytics”. The resource person for the webinar was Ms. Ravneet Kaur (Assistant Professor, CS Dept. DAV college jal). 

The Session started with the welcome speech by Asst Prof. Jasmeet Kaur (IT Dept., Innocent Hearts). She stated that Big Data Analytics is a revolution in field of Information Technology. Numerous Industries ranging from banking, health, education, technology manufacturing uses the big data to work effectively and stay agile.

Ms.  Ravneet initially enlightened the students with various sources that originates large volume of data. Then she focused on the need to analyse big data and various technologies used to manage big data like Hadoop, MapReduce NoSQL, Hunk, Presto etc. she stated that researchers and business organisations can utilize advanced analytics techniques such as machine learning, predictive analytics, text analytics to gain new insights of data and able to predict future opportunities of products. At the end she also handled the queries of students and clear their doubts.

Ms. Punit (HOD, IT Dept.) presented vote of thanks to the resource person for sharing her knowledge and skills with students. She emphasized that such activities and sessions keep students agile for their professional growth.
