ISA provides Covid relief to needy

Ludhiana: Institute of Social Action (ISA), a nationwide developmental organization, commenced a new project dedicated to education sponsorship of needy children, grocery kits and medicines.

The first batch of cheques was released today at Ludhiana in a very small gathering wherein students received their sponsorships from well-known philanthropist, Ruchi Bawa and Dr. JD Bakshi, CEO of ISA.

Besides sponsorship cheques, families of the students also received grocery kits from ISA. The grocery kits will be further extended to 15 more needy families.

In addition, Ruchi Bawa through her non-profit Aas - Ehsaas donated Covid-19 medicine kit to the families. In a brief lecture she taught the families as to how, when and why to consume the medicines.

Dr JD Bakshi stressed upon the need to have education if one wishes to rise higher in life. He thanked Pfooze, a Switzerland based company for having collaborated with ISA in extending education sponsorship to the needy children. He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Ruchi Bawa for joining hands. He appreciated her non-profit, Aas Ehsaas, which is providing yeomen service to mankind.

Ruchi Bawa bucked-up the students. She interacted with the students and their families through a well-maintained social distance. She also invited Noorgun to learn dance as the child is very fond of dancing.

The children were thrilled to have received the cheques. One of the students, Mehak recited a beautiful poem and expressed her zeal to become a doctor. Her father works in a brick kiln. The family was completely devastated during Covid as the source of income dried down completely. But with education sponsorship as well as a grocery kit her father gained confidence and expressed his gratitude to ISA.

It is also pertinent to mention that this small gathering had followed complete Covid norms. The beneficiaries were provided with sterilized masks, hands sanitization as well as sterilized gloves before being handed over the relief.
