Dharamshala, July 18, 2019: IPS Vimukaran Ranjan, who was posted in the security of PM Narendra Modi, joined as SP Kangra in Dharamshala today.
He said, “Kangra is the largest district of Himachal. Strict measures will be taken to maintain law and order in this district.”
He added that the campaign launched against drug smugglers will continue. He said that those engaged in illegal liquor business would not be spared at any cost.
Vimukaran Ranjan, who was earlier working in PM's Close Protection team, is basically resident of Himachal and was on deputation in Delhi for nearly six and a half years. IPS Officer of 2009 batch, Vimukaran is a graduate of Government College, Dharamsala.
He has also worked as the security officer of Tibetan religious leader The Dalai Lama. As soon as he returns from deputation, he is assigned the responsibility of police administration of Himachal's largest district.
Today, he joined as SP Kangra at Dharamshala.
