Invited Talk on “Obesity Mukt Healthy Bharat” and Plantation Drive Organised at Panjab University, Chandigarh
The Office of the Dean Student Welfare, in collaboration with NSS, Panjab University, Chandigarh, organised an invited talk on the theme “Obesity Mukt Healthy Bharat”, featuring Ms. Tapsi Upadhyay, popularly known as “B.Tech Pani Puri Wali.”
Chandigarh, July 13, 2026: The Office of the Dean Student Welfare, in collaboration with NSS, Panjab University, Chandigarh, organised an invited talk on the theme “Obesity Mukt Healthy Bharat”, featuring Tapsi Upadhyay, popularly known as “B.Tech Pani Puri Wali.”
The programme aimed to promote awareness about healthy living, balanced dietary habits, physical well-being, and the importance of making conscious lifestyle choices to prevent obesity. During the interactive session, Tapsi Upadhyay shared her inspiring journey and encouraged participants to adopt healthier habits while maintaining determination, discipline, and a positive approach towards life.
The event was organised by Dr. Sonia Sharma, Warden, Girls’ Hostel No. 7-cum-Programme Officer, NSS, Panjab University, Chandigarh, and Dr. Jaspreet Kaur, Warden, Girls’ Hostel No. 5.
As part of the programme, a Plantation Drive was also carried out to celebrate Van Mahotsav. The initiative aimed to spread awareness about environmental conservation, ecological balance, and the collective responsibility of individuals towards creating a greener and more sustainable future.
The programme reflected Panjab University’s continued commitment to promoting holistic well-being by integrating the values of health awareness, social responsibility, and environmental sustainability. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation and conveyed a strong message of building a healthy, aware, and environmentally responsible India.
