Invitation to Deputy Commissioner Ravi Bhagat by Rashtrapati Bhawan

Will participate in Round Table Conference on 6 March
Ludhiana: Efforts being made for the public services provided to the people in a better way initiated by the Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana Sh.Ravi Bhagat have found their place on the national level. Regarding this, Sh.Ravi Bhagat has got an invitation to have participation in ‘Festival of Innovation-2017’ to be held at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi, which is an honour for the district Ludhiana and its people.

Sh. Ravi Bhagat, while giving reference of the invitation letter received from National Innovation Foundation India, told that a serious note has been taken on the national level to provide public services to the people in a better way through e-governance. As a result, he has been asked to present these methods and practices before administrative and other personalities belonging to every nook and corner of India so that such measures should be implemented in other states too.

It is also worth mentioning that various mobile applications initiated by the District Administration (I-Sehat, I-Revenue, I-Courts,, mum2be, date2vaccinate, I-Rakt, I-DTO, FeeBank, Know Your Patwari). Out of these, one application I-Sehat has already been adopted by the Central Health Department. Other applications are also under consideration to be implemented by other states. Besides, Election Commission of India has also granted its recognition to ‘ECI 360’ Mobile App for the convenience of Voters and Candidates and Web based programme ‘RoNET’ prepared for the smooth conduct of Election Procedures.

Sh. Bhagat told that a round table conference is being conducted at Rashtrapati Bhawan on 6 March, 2017 by National Innovation Foundation India in which he is going to take participation as a speaker. It is also worth mentioning that Sh. Ravi Bhagat is the only Deputy Commissioner of Punjab who has been invited to take participation in this conference. He said that he would give presentation on various mobile applications, facebook page to have direct communication with the people and many more initiatives.

E-Rickshaw initiated to provide employment opportunities to women and the production of Raj Mah (kidney bean) in the field of Agriculture are also getting attention. ‘Shashakat Canteen’ being run by the children with special needs at District Administrative Complex, Ludhiana has paved the way of employment and optimism for other children of such types. In the same way Sanitary Napkin Vending Machines have also attracted the people of the country for the purpose of the awareness to have personal hygiene and to use sanitary napkins among the school going girls.

Sh. Bhagat intimated that measures are also being taken for the proper arrangement of water and toilets in schools and to keep the environment green besides the awareness of personal hygiene and the use of Sanitary napkins among the school going girls with the cooperation of a renowned company Versatile Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. All the projects are going to be initiated soon.
