Kolkata, May 5, 2025: The much-anticipated 9th edition of INVICTUS 2025, the annual inter-college fest of J. D. Birla Institute commenced today with a vibrant and ceremonial opening at the Vidya Mandir Auditorium. The inauguration reflected a perfect blend of tradition, talent and youthful energy, setting the tone for the exciting days ahead.
The ceremony began with a serene Sloka Recitation, followed by a graceful Saraswati Vandana dance performance, invoking blessings for wisdom and success. The auspicious Lighting of the Lamp by dignitaries marked the symbolic beginning of the fest.
Maj. Gen. V N Chaturvedi, Secretary General, Vidya Mandir Society, addressed the gathering, sharing insights on the vision of the college fest and motivating the students about responsibility, resilience, and the power we hold in upholding the banner of this esteemed institution. This was followed by the screening of an inspiring Invictus 2025 preview video, capturing the essence of the fest and what lies ahead.
A significant highlight of the ceremony was the Badging Ceremony, where the Director, Dr. Saugata Banerjee felicitated and acknowledged the efforts of the Core Committee Members, officially empowering them with their roles. The audience was then addressed by the President of INVICTUS 2025, who welcomed other participating college and expressed heartfelt gratitude and enthusiasm for the upcoming festivities.
The celebration continued with three high-energy dance performances that showcased diverse talent and brought a lively spark to the stage. Finally, the Director formally declared INVICTUS 2025 open, marking the official commencement of a fest that promises creativity, competition, and camaraderie.
