Jalandhar, September 17, 2019: Investiture Ceremony was organized at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar for the newly formed student body SWA (Student Welfare Association) of session 2019-20 where Principal Dr.Sucharita Sharma presided the event as a Chief Guest.

Dr.Jagmohan Mago, Dean SWA, highlighting the role of SWA in college events also put forth that during the session SWA members not only polish their skills and fulfill their duties and responsibilities but also set an example of responsible person for the other students.

“It is indeed a responsible job and we pledge to fulfill our duties and responsibilities whole-heartedly and full dedication”, said Abhinav Gupta and Shriya Maini, Presidents SWA. They also put forth that through Alumni meet, we will learn something from our seniors and their experiences and will interact with our juniors for their set of ideas and thus all shall move together towards the path of development and success.

Vishavbandhu Verma, HOD, History made the students take pledge that with hard work, dedication and sincerity, they will work together for the development and success.

Principal Dr.Sucharita Sharma congratulated the students for being conferred with badges and also told them of the responsibilities that come with this honour. She added that it is now their prime duty to be a role model and set good example for other students along fulfilling their additional roles and responsibilities of SWA and they could now also act as a bridge between students and teachers in order to drift the communication smoothly. She also proposed for the students that through open meetings once is a month, they can talk and discuss about National/International problems and contribute their bit in achievement of higher goals.

On this occasion, a Powerpoint Presentation on “Plastic Free India” was shown by Harshita and Devanshi highlighting the negative impacts of plastic on environment health, marine and wild life also enlightening the options which could replace plastic.
