Rohtak, August 18, 2025: Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has said that the investigation of Manisha murder case should be handed over to CBI on the demand of the family as the role of Haryana government and police in the whole case has been negligent and irresponsible till now.
“An unfortunate attempt is also being made to prove the whole case as a suicide and the criminals who carried out this brutal crime are still roaming free. They should be arrested as soon as possible and given the harshest punishment,” Hooda said while talking to journalists in Rohtak.
Former CM said that BJP has completely established hooliganism in Haryana. “Such incidents are coming to light every day. After Manisha's murder in Loharu, now a case of firing on children has come to light in Jind. Firing was done on artists in Gurugram,” he said while recounting the rising incidents of crime in the state.
He said that three to four murders are being committed every day in the state. “Criminals commit crimes whenever they want and the government remains a mute spectator. Due to the deteriorating law and order situation, no new investment is coming to Haryana. Whereas before 2014, Haryana was the number one state in the country in terms of per capita investment,” he pointed out.
Reacting to the fake voter cases leveled by Rahul Gandhi, Former CM said the Election Commission, which is asking for an affidavit from Rahul Gandhi, should first give an affidavit itself. “The Election Commission should give in writing that there are no fake voters or two votes of one person anywhere. If the Commission gives it in writing, then we are ready to give it countless evidence,” he stated.
“The Commission is asking for an affidavit from Rahul Gandhi to cover up its misdeeds. Whereas the public has understood that the Commission is completely working like a team of BJP. This is a fatal situation for the democracy of the country, because democracy will remain strong only when all constitutional institutions work independently,” he added.
