Intra-Hostel Badminton Tournament Concludes at Teja Singh Hall, Panjab University
The Intra-Hostel Badminton Tournament organised by Teja Singh Hall (Boys Hostel No. 6) at Panjab University, Chandigarh, concluded, witnessing remarkable enthusiasm and competitive spirit among the residents. The tournament provided a platform to promote physical fitness, sportsmanship, and camaraderie among students.
Chandigarh, 23 February 2026: The Intra-Hostel Badminton Tournament organised by Teja Singh Hall (Boys Hostel No. 6) at Panjab University, Chandigarh, concluded, witnessing remarkable enthusiasm and competitive spirit among the residents. The tournament provided a platform to promote physical fitness, sportsmanship, and camaraderie among students.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. Kashmir Singh and Prof. Manu Sharma, whose presence added prestige and motivation to the occasion. In their inaugural address, they encouraged students to maintain a healthy balance between academics and sports, emphasising that physical fitness is integral to overall development and success.
The tournament featured intense matches, with participants showcasing exceptional skills, teamwork, and dedication. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as residents gathered to support their fellow hostel-mates, embodying the true spirit of healthy competition and mutual encouragement.
Dr Anuj Kumar, Warden of Teja Singh Hall, congratulated all 32 participants from various departments for their enthusiastic involvement and commended the winners for their outstanding performance. He emphasised that such sporting events play a crucial role in building character, discipline, and fostering a sense of community among residents. He also encouraged students to actively participate in future sporting and cultural activities organised by the hostel.

Their dedication and teamwork were instrumental in making the event a resounding success.
The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where winners were felicitated and appreciated for their sportsmanship.
