Interview of Actress Prachi Bansal, who portrays the character of Sita in the show 'Shrimad Ramayan'

Actress Prachi Bansal, who portrays the character of Sita in the show 'Shrimad Ramayan' has opened up on being cast as Mata Sita, sharing how it was challenging.

1) Learning enduring love, steadfast loyalty and unwavering faith…how does it feel to play this role?

- Portraying ‘Mata Sita’ in Sony Entertainment Television’s ‘Shrimad Ramayan’ has been a blessing through and through. I feel incredibly fortunate as it is a significant role that comes with great responsibility. I'm grateful for the love and acceptance viewers have shown towards me and I hope it continues.

2) What lesson can we learn from Sita's life?

- What I've learned from Mata Sita is that the warrior spirit exists within both women and men, and we often discover it only when faced with tough situations. However, it's crucial to awaken that warrior within us and fight back when challenges arise. Whether it is while witnessing any wrongdoing or experiencing a difficult phase personally, it's essential to stand up and fight for oneself.

3) What is the message for women?

The message I have for women is: never allow anyone to disrespect you. Fight back and take a stand for yourself. Chase your dreams relentlessly, regardless of the obstacles. I firmly believe that with self-belief, you can accomplish anything in the world. So, believe in yourself, pursue your dreams, and fight for them.

4) To what extent does a woman sacrifice to maintain her family and relationships?

- During different phases in life, one must adjust when it comes to interpersonal relationships. However, women must make that extra effort to fit in seamlessly due to societal rituals and traditions, like leaving their family after marriage and embracing a new way of living. However, with the right partner and family, these adjustments become easier. I wouldn't call it a sacrifice; instead, I believe it's about making small changes that when done happily, don't feel burdensome.
