International Yoga Day celebrated at D.C.M Presidency School, Elementary Campus

International Yoga Day celebrated at D.C.M Presidency School, Elementary Campus 

Ludhiana: International Yoga Day was celebrated on virtual platform on Monday by the students, parents and teachers at D.C.M Presidency School, Elementary Campus to convey the message of keeping mind and body fit through asanas.

Yoga instructor Mr Suraj Rawat started the session with Warm up exercises and all the students performed sitting and standing asanas which was followed by Omkar chanting. 

The benefits of the postures were narrated by the Yoga instructor side by side as children performed with the instructions e.g. the importance of meditation and pranayama, in day to day life to keeps one mentally, physically, psychologically healthy was highlighted.

The celebration concluded with some breathing techniques and exercises like Pranayams, Anulomaand Viloma, Meditation and Relaxation with Laughter yoga. 

The students were encouraged to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration as they showcased a very energetic and spirited performance!

On this occasion, Head Elementary Ms. Reuben Chahal shared the importance and need of practising yoga to stay fit and healthy. She added that the celebration of International Yoga Day was a reminder to incorporate yoga in every day routine to enjoy a happy life and reduce the effects of stress and other physical ailments.

School Coordinators Ms Ekta Singhania , Ms Sonal Arora and Ms Anjali Kumar encouraged students to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration.

They also added that regular practice of yoga will surely help our students achieve a better life, physically, mentally and spiritually as well.
