International Wrestler ‘Super Khalsa’ Joins Aam Aadmi Party

A new wave of enthusiasm was witnessed in Punjab politics today when international wrestler and ‘India’s Strongest Man’ titleholder Inderpreet Singh (Super Khalsa) officially joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Chief Minister’s OSD Rajbir Singh Ghuman inducted Inderpreet Singh into the party and extended a warm welcome to him.

Chandigarh, May 1, 2026: A new wave of enthusiasm was witnessed in Punjab politics today when international wrestler and ‘India’s Strongest Man’ titleholder Inderpreet Singh (Super Khalsa) officially joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Chief Minister’s OSD Rajbir Singh Ghuman inducted Inderpreet Singh into the party and extended a warm welcome to him.
OSD Ghuman stated that the inclusion of a talented sportsperson like Inderpreet will further strengthen the party at the grassroots level. Inderpreet Singh decided to join the party after being inspired by the work and influence of renowned kabaddi player Pala Jalalpuria, Rustam-e-Hind Jassa Patti, and Rustam-e-Hind Pritpal Phagwara.
Inderpreet Singh’s sporting achievements are highly impressive. He is currently a pro-wrestling heavyweight champion and has won four gold medals in Punjab State Powerlifting. His spirit of sportsmanship and discipline will now be reflected in his social service through politics.
The party leadership expressed confidence that this young individual, who has brought pride to Punjab at national and international levels through sports, will play a significant role in the mission of building a ‘Rangla Punjab’.
