International Women's Day was celebrated at Police Lines, Ludhiana (Rural) 

Jagraon (Ludhiana), March 8, 2022: As per the directions of the Director General of Police Punjab, International Women's Day was celebrated at Police Lines, Ludhiana (Rural) under the able supervision of Patil Ketal Baliram, SSP, Ludhiana (Rural). 

A special Medical Check-up Camp was organized for women police officials. Medical team of Dr. Maneet Luthra MD and Dr. Sangeena Garg MD of Civil Hospital Jagraon, headed by Dr. Aman Sharma, Medical officer Police lines Ludhiana (Rural) conducted the medial check-up of the women officials. Medical check-up of about 70 women officials was conducted. They were made aware, about the precautions of breast cancer and cervical cancer and provided required medicines for free of cost. 

On this occasion, Banmeet Kaur and Meenakshi Sharma coordinators of (Punjab Police Mahila Mitter) Women Help Desk made them aware about 'Sexual Harassment of Women at Work Place (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal Act). Moving towards the closing the function the team of doctors and co-ordinators of (Punjab Police Mahila Mitter) Women Help Desk, were honored by the SSP Ludhiana (Rural). 

Gurmeet Kaur, PPS SP (OP & CAW) Ldh(R), Prithipal Singh PPS SP(H) Ldh(R), Gurdeep Singh SP(D) Ldh(R) and Sh. Daljit Singh PPS DSP Jagraon were also present. 

The function was over with 'vote of thanks' rendered by Insp. Damandeep Kaur.
