International Women’s Day Celebrated with Enthusiasm at RCF Kapurthala
A special programme was organised today at Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The programme was conducted in accordance with the instructions of the Railway Board with the objective of highlighting the achievements of women and promoting gender equality in society.
Kapurthala, March 7, 2026: A special programme was organised today at Rail Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The programme was conducted in accordance with the instructions of the Railway Board with the objective of highlighting the achievements of women and promoting gender equality in society.
During the programme, the remarkable achievements of women in various fields were highlighted and the message was conveyed that the full and active participation of women in nation building is extremely important. On the occasion, Dr. Lalita Ramalingam, Principal Chief Medical Officer, and Renu Pushkar Chhibber, Principal Chief Security Commissioner participated as special speakers and shared their inspiring thoughts. They emphasised the importance of women’s health, safety, self-reliance and equal opportunities at the workplace.
On this occasion, a special Health & Well-being Camp was organised keeping in view the health and welfare of women employees. A large number of women employees participated in the camp and availed themselves of health check-ups and medical consultation.
As part of the programme, a discussion session was also organised in which women employees enthusiastically participated and expressed their views on important issues such as women empowerment, equal opportunities and the role of women in society.
In addition, dance, singing and other cultural activities were organised to make the programme more vibrant. Women employees actively participated in these activities and showcased their talent, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and celebration.
On this occasion, the speakers called upon everyone to ensure respect, safety and equality for women and to build a society where women can fully realise their potential in every field and actively contribute to nation building.
A large number of women employees and officers participated in the programme to make it as highly inspiring and successful.
