International Women’s Day celebrated at Apeejay College of Fine

Jalandhar: International Women’s Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar. 
Celebrating women, Principal Dr. Sucharita Sharma put forth that position of women in the contemporary society is exuberant where she is not only rocking in her work space but balancing her various roles back at home as well. She added that it is a need of hour that the empowered women should take the lead and become the voice for voiceless breaking all the barriers. At every level in the society either economic, political or social, today we see women doing their best.  
During the celebrations, a skit “Parvaaz” written and directed by Mr. Vijay Shair was enacted by Dr. Rimpy Aggarwal, Ms. Simkee Dev, Ms. Lovepreet Kaur, Ms. Komal, Ms. Rashmi Randev and Mr. Harmandeep Singh. The skit talked about the women, her circumstances, the pressures sometimes she faces due to the society and the decisions she makes. Other faculty members as well presented their views and their journey as a woman.
