International Fathers' Day: Sony SAB artists share the lessons they inherited from their fathers
Behind every successful star is often a father whose unwavering support, sacrifices, and life lessons have quietly paved the way for their dreams. This Father's Day, Sony SAB artists - Manish Wadhwa, Iqbal Khan, Toral Rasputra, Arjun Punjj, Muskan Bamne and Nitin Babu take a heartfelt moment to celebrate the men who stood behind the spotlight, guiding them through challenges, believing in them during uncertain times, and inspiring them to become who they are today. From teaching resilience and humility to being their biggest cheerleaders, these fathers continue to be their greatest role models.
Iqbal Khan, who plays Dr. Dev Mehta in Yaadein, shares, "Becoming a father to two daughters completely changed the way I look at my own father. As children, we don't always realise the sacrifices our parents make to keep us safe and happy. Today, when I look at my daughters, I understand that responsibility much better. I often think about the values my father instilled in me, integrity, patience, and respect for others. Those lessons continue to guide me both as an actor and as a father. If I can pass on even a fraction of what he taught me to my girls, I'll consider that a success. Wishing all the fathers out there a very Happy Father's Day."
Arjun Punjj, who plays Diggy in Yaadein, shares, "Some of my favourite childhood memories are of spending time with my father, whether it was a drive together, a casual conversation or him patiently listening to my endless questions. He always made me feel heard. Today, as a father, I find myself sharing similar moments with my children. Sometimes, when I'm encouraging them or helping them through a setback, I hear my father's words coming through. Becoming a parent has made me realise that it's often the little things fathers do that leave the biggest impact and those are the memories I cherish the most. Happy Father's Day to all the dads who make life's journey a little easier with their unconditional support"
Muskan Bamne, who plays Shanaya in Pushpa Impossible, shares, "Whenever I think of my father, I think of all the little things he did to make me believe I could achieve anything. Whether it was cheering the loudest at school events or reassuring me before an audition, he always made me feel capable. Even today, he is one of the first people I call whenever something good happens. His excitement for my achievements often feels bigger than my own and that's a kind of love I will always treasure. Happy Father's Day to all the wonderful fathers who believe in their children even before they learn to believe in themselves."
Nitin Babu, who plays Chirag Patel in Pushpa Impossible, shares, "My father was never the kind to give long lectures. Most of what he taught me came from simply watching him. I remember seeing him leave for work early every morning and still make time for family at the end of the day. As a child, I didn’t fully understand it, but today I realise how much dedication and responsibility it takes. He taught me that consistency matters more than instant success, and that lesson has stayed with me throughout my acting journey. Wishing all fathers a very Happy Father's Day."
Manish Wadhwa, who plays Bhishma Pitamah in Hastinapur Ke Veer, shares, "Father's Day is special for me because I get to experience fatherhood in more ways than one. In real life, being a father has taught me patience, responsibility and the importance of being present for your children. Through my role as Bhishma Pitamah, I also get to portray a father figure on screen, someone who guides and protects the younger generation. It often makes me think of my own father, who led by example and always put his family's needs before his own. As a son, I admired him; as a father today, I understand him much better. Happy Father's Day to my father and to all the wonderful dads.”
Toral Rasputra, who plays Kunti in Hastinapur Ke Veer, shares, "One of my fondest memories is of my father waiting up for me whenever I had a late rehearsal or shoot, no matter how tired he was. He never said much, but his presence always made me feel safe and supported. Growing up, he taught me that hard work speaks louder than words. Whenever I feel nervous or doubtful, I think about his journey and the sacrifices he made for our family. Whatever confidence I have today comes from knowing that my father believed in me, even before I believed in myself. Happy Father's Day to every father who quietly stands behind his children"
