International Conference on 'Fostering Global Collaboration in Higher Education' Commenced In MDU, Rohtak

The resolutions to develop the eco-system of social utility, troublesome oriented research, association with community and social concerns, innovation and entrepreneurship,  global identity of the university,  was expressed by the speakers at the International Conference on Higher Educatio held on Monday at Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak. The two -day international conference is being organized under the aegis of the Center for International Academic Affairs.

Rohtak, April 1, 2024. The resolutions to develop the eco-system of social utility, troublesome oriented research, association with community and social concerns, innovation and entrepreneurship,  global identity of the university,  was expressed by the speakers at the International Conference on Higher Educatio held on Monday at Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak. The two -day international conference is being organized under the aegis of the Center for International Academic Affairs.

In the inaugural session of this international conference, the chief guest, prestigious industrialist Rajesh Jain said that education is a strong medium of creation in society. Today, it is necessary that students and research scholars connect with digital technology, develop innovative mind set, create a culture of entrepreneurship and create a global identity by getting technology enabled, as well as students will have to be conscious about the emerging trends of the latest technology.

MDU Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajbir Singh said that global research participation, knowledge partnership and collective, creative approach is the need of time. He said Maharishi Dayanand University is working with a view to create a global identity and this two -day international conference is an initiative in this direction. The Vice Chancellor said that scientific research participation is necessary for human welfare. At the same time, social troubleshooting mental thinking needs to be developed in universities.

In the inaugural session, MDU Alumnus, President of Global Haryana, USA Balinder Singh said that global connectivity is very important in today's era. This conference will provide global connectivity to the MDU community. Balinder Singh asked the students to especially pay attention to time management. MDU Alumnus, Associate Deputy Vice Chancellor of Eston University, UK Prof. Pawan Budhwar said that India is currently making its effective presence in the world in global geo-politics. Massachusetts, Emhart, USA. Prof O.P. Dhankhar said that an MoU is needed for Faculty-Student Exchange Program and research participation with global educational institutions. He underlined the importance of inter -disciplinary research.  Dr. Kiran Gulia, Professor of the University of Volver Hetan, UK, said that MDU students will have to pave the way for career success by taking advantage of positive thinking, self -confidence with global academic opportunities.

At the beginning of the program, Dean, Center for International Academic Affairs Prof. Rishi Chaudhary gave the welcome address. He said that this conference is MDU's effort for global educational participation. Associate Dean, CIAA Prof. Ashish Dahiya highlighted the theme of the conference. MDU Registrar Prof. Gulshan Lal Taneja shared information about the history, achievements and development journey of the university. Dean, Academic Affairs Prof. A.S. Mann told about MDU's major educational initiative and NEP 2020 related implementation work. Director, CRSI Prof. Sonia Malik conducted the inaugural session. Deputy Dean of CIAA Dr. Sarvajit Singh Gill expressed the vote of thanks.

A  yagna was organized in the morning. Delegates from abroad visited major laboratories and Vivekananda Library. At the International Conference held in Tagore Auditorium, Dr. Jogendra Singh (University of California, USA), Harindra Panesar (USA), Prof. Pawan Budhwar (UK), Prof. OP Dhankar (USA), Dr. Suman Grewal (USA), Prof. Kiran Gulia (UK) interacted with students, research scholars and faculty members about education, research and career opportunities abroad.

Dr. Laxmi from UK, Dr. Manjit Kaur from USA, Dr. Gajendra Ahlawat from Canada, JMI, Prof.  Kulvinder Kaur from JMI Delhi, Senior Police Officer Sagar Preet Hooda, VC BPSMV Khanpur, Prof. Sudesh and IGU Mirpur VC Prof. JP Yadav were especially present on the occasion. The hods, faculty members, research scholars and students were present on the occasion.
