International conference on computing, analytics and networks (ICAN) 2020 

Rajpura: ICAN 2020 the 2nd IEEE (The world's largest technical professional organization for the advancement of technology) sponsored International Conference on Computing, Analytics and Networks  was jointly organized by Chitkara University, Punjab, India and National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan.

The conference was held in Taiwan on February 7-8, 2020 and in India on February 14-15, 2020 and was broadly focused on mobile cloud computing, big data analytics and building secure networks. With ICAN 2020, Chitkara University led this initiative of organizing an international conference in two countries, India and Taiwan.

Chitkara University is one of the leading universities of the country that pay a lot of attention to applied research. It already has more than 250 patents, over 75 start-ups and more than 1000 publications in high quality indexed journals. Over the last few years Chitkara University has earned a reputation of organizing many state-of-the art conferences and ICAN is one of them.

There were about 250 delegates comprising of senior researchers, young researchers, scholars, academicians and industry professional who  participated in this mega event  that featured 77 technical paper, presentations in 13 sessions. 5 keynote talks, 3 invited talks, 2 tutorials, 1 panel discussion. In addition there  were several industry sessions and exhibits which were the highlights of ICAN 2020.

There were numerous industry and academic partners who supported ICAN 2020, and some of the prominent ones were Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC Mohali ), I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University, Kalyani Government Engineering College, West Bengal, Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, Indo Universal Collaboration for Engineering Education (IUCEE), Global Engineering Deans Council (GEDC), National Yunlin University of Science and Technology Taiwan, YunTech Intelligent Recognition Industry Service Center Taiwan, E-Smart Technology Inc. Taiwan and Huayu Mecho Electrical Enterprise Co. Ltd. Taiwan. IEEE Delhi Section was the technical sponsor of ICAN2020 and all the presented papers in Taiwan and India will be considered for a joint publication of proceedings on IEEE Xplore.

Dr. Madhu Chitkara Vice Chancellor of Chitkara University welcomed all the delegates of the conference and reiterated the commitment of the Faculty members of university to excel in research and outreach to many International Universities of repute.
