During the Valedictory Session, the Best Paper Awards were announced

International Conference on Business Resilience and Reinvention in VUCA World (ICBRR-VUCA 2021)

Jalandhar: GNA University organized an International Conference on Business Resilience and Reinvention in the VUCA World (ICBRR-VUCA 2021) on its virtual platform, Blackboard which was also streamed Live on Facebook and YouTube.

The Conference Ceremony started with the welcoming of the virtual gathering by the Master of Ceremony Dr. Disha Khanna, Dean- Faculty of Liberal Arts. Afterwards, the general address and opening to the conference was made by Pro-Chancellor Gurdeep Singh Sihra and the Conference Proceedings were then released by the senior functionaries of the management. Dr. Monika Hanspal, Dean Academics delivered the Welcome Address and the Inaugural Address was given by Vice Chancellor Dr. V.K. Rattan to the learned gathering. 

Gurdeep Singh Sihra, the Pro-Chancellor expressed, “I am really elated to witness the appreciable number of participation in this International Conference from across the globe.”

The Chief Guest for the day Dr. Neharika Vohra, Vice Chancellor- Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University, New Delhi delivered her views on the emerging trends in entrepreneurship and other managerial disciplines in the VUCA World. This was then followed by the welcoming of the Key Note Speaker Dr. Cleopatra Veloutsou, Professor, University of Glasgow, Scotland, UK who delivered her views about the emerging trends in Brand Management. 

A Panel Discussion on the current trends in Business Resilience in the VUCA World was moderated by Dr. Manpreet Kaur, Assistant Professor, GNA Business School. The panellists of the discussion were Dr. Parag Kalkar, Dean- Faculty of Commerce and Management, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, Dr. Jyoti Rana, Dean Academic Affairs- Shri Vishwakarma Skill University, Gurugram, Dr. P. Malyadri, Senior Fellow ICSSR and Research Advisor in Commerce and Management, Center for Economic and Social Studies. 

A brief overview about the conference was given by Gaurav K Mangar, Assistant Professor, GNA Business School, GNA University in which he elaborated about the whole conference. 90 research papers were received for publication out of which 75 were accepted for publication and presentation. The conference was divided into four technical sessions namely Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, General Management and Economics. This was then followed by the commencement of the technical session which was adjudicated by the revered session chairs. There were in total 8 technical sessions which witnessed around 100 paper presentations from research scholars and academicians from most of the prestigious academic institutions across the country and from the international arena also. 

After the end of technical sessions, a Key Note Address was delivered by Dr. Weng Marc Lim, Professor and Head of School, Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak, Malaysia in which he talked about his views on challenger marketing and the current trends pertaining to this particular field. Another Key Note Address was delivered by Dr. Justin Paul, Professor, University of Puerto Rico, San Juan, PR, USA in which he elaborated about the current trends in marketing in the VUCA World. 

During the Valedictory Session, the Best Paper Awards were announced by Ramandeep Singh, Assistant Professor, GNA Business School which was then followed by a Vote of Thanks by Dr. R.K. Mahajan, Registrar, GNA University in which he thanked everyone for being a part of the conference and to Dr. Sameer Varma, Dean- GNA Business School and his entire team of GNA Business School for their hard work and for organising this conference in such a well-organized manner. The grand event of International Conference ended on a splendid note.
