Inter-School Declamation Contest organized by Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust
The 30th Inter-School Declamation Contest was organized by Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust at its Panday Auditorium to commemorate the 61st death anniversary of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru. The contest, like every year, received an overwhelming response from the schools in Ludhiana.

Ludhiana, May 5, 2025: The 30th Inter-School Declamation Contest was organized by Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust at its Panday Auditorium to commemorate the 61st death anniversary of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru. The contest, like every year, received an overwhelming response from the schools in Ludhiana.
The contest was held in three languages – English, Hindi & Punjabi. 48 Students from 27 Schools vied with each other for the Nehru Championship Trophy and the first three positions. Students spoke with zest and expressed their views confidently on burning topics of day to day interest like “The Climate Crisis is an urgent threat that demands immediate action”, “Wisdom, not just intelligence, defines True Greatness”. “Social Media influences self-worth, blurring the line between reality and illusion”etc.
While welcoming the Chief Guest Gauri Chhabra, Sunil Gupta, Vice President, of Nehru Sidhant Kender Trust spoke about the social, educational & charitable activities of the Nehru Sidhant Trust. Floral tributes were paid to Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru by the Chief Guest Gauri Chhabra, Sunil Gupta, Vice President of the Trust, G.L. Bassi, Treasurer of the Trust, Parveen Sayal, Trustee & Ashwani Sharma, Advisor of the Trust and Bhupinder Gogia, Principal of Sat Paul Mittal School and Jasdeep Kaur, Principal, Horizon School of Excellence, and the judges. The Chief Guest talked of passion for debates & school education. She said that the topics of the declamation were very well selected and covered all the burning issues of the day.
The judges, drawn from local colleges of the city, adjudged the contestants from various schools. They had a tough time assessing the performance of the students as the competition was very stiff. The results are given below: -

BCM Sr. Sec School, Focal Point, Ludhiana bagged the running championship Nehru Trophy.
Prizes to the winners of Inter-School Declamation Contest will be given at the Annual Scholarship Distribution Function to be held at 10:30 a.m. on 16th May, 2025 in Nehru Sidhant Kender Complex.
