The Health Department, Ferozepur on Friday organising an Inter-School Competition-cum-Workshop, “Beti Bachaoo” (save daughter).
Ferozepur, March 28, 2014: In an initiative to make people aware regarding the equivalence of male and female child and the decline ratio of girl child, the Health Department, Ferozepur today organised an Inter-School Competition-cum-Workshop, “Beti Bachaoo” (save daughter). The students from Dev Samaj Senior Secondary School, Dev Samaj Model School and Khalsa High School participated in various competitions like poster making, poetry writing. The winnerwere awarded by the department.
Dr. Y.K.Gupta, Civil Surgeon said that the department is taking initiative to make people aware regarding the declined ratio of girl infants which is a matter of concern. He said that the department is conducting seminars and various competitions to make people aware regarding this.
Maninder Kaur, District Mass Media Officer, Harish Kataria, DPM, Ankush Bhandari, BEE, Inderjeet Singh Gogia, Dewan Chand Sukhija, Ashok Bajaj and other were present on the occasion.
