Inter-House Hindi Poetry Recitation Competition: A Grand Blend of Humour and Valour

Jalandhar, November 24, 2025: The atmosphere at Ivy World School was filled with literary vibrance, emotional expression, and youthful enthusiasm as the much-awaited Inter-House Hindi Poetry Recitation Competition was conducted with grandeur and precision. This year, the competition focused especially on two prominent poetic genres, Humour (Haasya Ras) and Valour (Veer Ras) giving students an opportunity to explore the diverse shades of Hindi literature and present them gracefully on stage.

Students presented delightful and witty humorous poems that enveloped the audience in waves of laughter. Their childlike simplicity, entertaining dialogues, natural comic timing, and playful expressions created a cheerful environment in the auditorium. On the other hand, the talented participants  ignited the spirit of courage, patriotism, and heroism through their powerful recitations of Veer Ras. The firmness in their voice, the bravery reflected in their expressions, and the depth of nationalism in their delivery left a profound impact on everyone present.

The entire venue radiated a harmonious blend of discipline, enthusiasm, and literary dignity. Students not only demonstrated their command over speech and expression but also depicted the richness of the Hindi language and the pride embedded in its cultural heritage.
The panel of judges appreciated the participants for their poem selection, pronunciation, rhythm, emotional expression, stage presence, and ability to connect with the audience. They remarked that the competition provided an excellent platform to showcase and enhance the hidden talents of the students.

The competition contributed significantly to the development of essential skills among students clear speech, confidence, presentation skills, memory, creativity, leadership qualities, and situational expression..
