Inter College Science Fest 2024 Celebrated at Home Science College

The Science Club 'Pragya' of the college organised Science Fest on Friday on the theme 'Global Science for Global Well-Being'. Sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology and Renewable Energy, Chandigarh Administration, U.T. Chandigarh, with a grant of Rs 30,000, the fest provided a platform for students to showcase their ingenuity and talents in the realm of science and technology.

Chandigarh, March 15, 2024: The Science Club 'Pragya' of the college organised Science Fest on Friday on the theme 'Global Science for Global Well-Being'. Sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology and Renewable Energy, Chandigarh Administration, U.T. Chandigarh, with a grant of Rs 30,000, the fest provided a platform for students to showcase their ingenuity and talents in the realm of science and technology.

Various events included Science Quiz, Scientific Rangoli, Poster Making and T-Shirt painting competitions. More than 100 students participated from various colleges across the city including DAV College, Sec-10, Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector-26, Post Graduate Government College- Sector-11 and Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Sector-11 to name a few.

In poster making competition, Khushi (B.Sc. Fashion Designing 4thSem) from GHSC-10 bagged first prize. While in T-Shirt painting competition, Sharishti (B.Sc. Fashion Designing 4th Sem) from GHSC-10 bagged first prize and in Scientific Rangoli Competition, Shivangi Singh and Sajjan (BA 2nd Sem) from PGGCG-11 bagged first prize. In Science Quiz competition, Poonam Bhardwaj, Kanishka Chadha and Ekjot Kaur (B.Sc. H.Sc-6th Sem) from GHSC-10 bagged the first prize. 

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Sudha Katyal, the esteemed Principal of the college, commended the efforts of the participants for their exemplary dedication and innovative spirit. She emphasized the importance of leveraging technology for the global well-being of society.
