Inter-Batch Sports Competition -2019 held at College of Nursing at CMCH

Ludhiana, March 27, 2019: In the remarkable celebrations of 125 glorious years of Christian Medical College & Hospital , Ludhiana an inter batch sports competition – 2019 – “IGNITIA” of College of Nursing , CMC &Hospital was held on in Margaretta Criag Hostel ground. The chief guest of the event Dr.William Bhatti, Director of CMC Hospital inaugurated the event and addressed the gathering. He said that non communicable diseases can be prevented by regular exercise and motivated the students to participate in sport. Dr.Reena Jairus, Principal of College of Nursing encouraged the spirit of sportsmanship in the participants which was followed by flag hosting and march past by the participants. Vote of thanks was proposed by Mr.Sanjeet Johnson, Associate Professor & sports coordinator of the college.

The events carried out were basketball in which 3rd year boys and girls were the winners and 2nd year boys and intern girls were runner ups followed by futsal in which 2nd year boys were the winners and 3rd year boys were runner ups, and khokho in which 1st year boys and 3rd year girls were the winners and intern girls and boys were runner ups. Faculty members also took part in various events like lemon race, three leg race, skipping race, brick race, etc.

Great enthusiasm and sportsmanship was shown by all the nursing students during the sports competition. The aim of conducting the sports was to keep the students mentally and physically fit to build up their overall personality. The entire event was coordinated by Mr. Sanjeet Johnson, sports coordinator, sports committee and council members.
