Chandigarh, February 26, 2014: The Punjab government has issued instructions to all departments to display the name and designation of Public Information Officers appointed by the different departments to provide information under Right to Information Act, 2005 (RTI) on the display boards in the offices.
Disclosing this here today an official spokesperson of the Governance Reforms said that keeping in view the difficulties being faced by candidates seeking information under the Right to Information Act, all the public authorities under their administrative control have been directed to display the names and designation of APIOs, PIOs and Appellate Authorities concerned on their display boards as other names are displayed.
