Chandigarh, January 24, 2014: The Punjab Government has issued instructions to all the Commissioners of Divisions and Deputy Commissioner for the celebrations of Republic Day (January 26, 2014).
Disclosing this here today, an official spokesperson of the state government said that Governor of Punjab would unfurl the National flag at Patiala in the state level function. After inspecting the parade, he would participate in the ‘At home’ function at Patiala. On the same day, Governor would host ‘At home’ function at Punjab Raj Bhawan, Chandigarh. Similarly, Punjab Chief Minister, Speaker, Deputy Chief Minister, Cabinet Minister and Chief Parliamentary Secretaries would unfurl the national flag at different locations in the state. Commissioner of Divisions and Deputy Commissioners have been instructed to make liaison with Special Secretary/Secretary/Private Secretary of the Chief Guest. The spokesperson further said that on this auspicious occasion, national flag would be unfurled over all the government buildings.
