The main objective of celebrating the festival was to instill faith in God among the students and to nurture spiritual values in them. The little children came dressed as members of Lord Shiva’s family — Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva, and Goddess Parvati — beautifully portraying their faith, devotion, and belief in the Almighty.
On this occasion, a special assembly was organized in the school, where students were informed about the significance of Maha Shivratri. The children chanted the sacred mantra “Om Namah Shivaya” with great enthusiasm and devotion.Teachers also explained in the classrooms that Maha Shivratri is not just a festival, but a symbol of unwavering faith in religion and spirituality. It helps in developing devotion, reverence, and spiritual awareness among children.
