Innocent Hearts Schools Celebrate World Heritage Day with “Embracing History, Celebrating Diversity”

Innocent Hearts’ five campuses  (Green Model Town, Loharan , Cantt. Jandiala Road , Noorpur and Kapurthala Road) came together today to mark World Heritage Day under the United Nations’ theme “Embracing History, Celebrating Diversity,” reinforcing the importance of inclusive, quality education as outlined in Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4). Students from Grades I through X engaged in a variety of creative, digital‑literacy‑driven activities that brought India’s rich cultural legacy to life.

Jalandhar, April 18, 2025: Innocent Hearts’ five campuses  (Green Model Town, Loharan , Cantt. Jandiala Road , Noorpur and Kapurthala Road) came together today to mark World Heritage Day under the United Nations’ theme “Embracing History, Celebrating Diversity,” reinforcing the importance of inclusive, quality education as outlined in Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4). Students from Grades I through X engaged in a variety of creative, digital‑literacy‑driven activities that brought India’s rich cultural legacy to life.

Highlights of the Day’s Celebrations, Grades I–III: “Hamara Desh, Hamari Shaan – Incredible India”: Young learners viewed vibrant PowerPoint slideshows showcasing India’s monuments, festivals, and folk traditions.Peer Educators of the Digital Literacy & Cyber Security Club delivered a short video presentation and PPT on how digital tools can preserve and promote heritage responsibly. The students of Grades IV–V Watched Virtual Monument Tours: Through custom video clips, students “visited” landmarks such as the Taj Mahal, Red Fort, and Hampi. Live narration by Peer Educators highlighted each site’s history, architectural marvels, and visiting information.An educational excursion was organised for the students of Grades VII–VIII . They went to Jung-e-Azadi  a historical place with their mentors engaged in a guided walk‑through of its historical significance. and . Inter House quiz was conducted on

Heritage Day on World Heritage Sites, Indian cultural trivia, and conservation practices. Winners were crowned “Heritage Champions” and awarded special certificates.

The chairman of Innocent Hearts Group ,Dr Anup Bowry mentioned that “All five schools approached World Heritage Day with tremendous enthusiasm,  Our aim was not only to teach students about our past but also to empower them with the digital skills they need to protect and share that heritage in the 21st century.”
