Innocent Hearts School Organised Dental Care Camps to Promote Oral Hygiene Awareness

Jalandhar, November 21, 2025: Under DISHA—an initiative nurtured by the Bowry Memorial Educational and Medical Trust—Innocent Hearts School organised Dental Care Camps for students of Grades Pre-Primary to V at the Cantt.–Jandiala Road and Kapurthala Road campuses. The initiative aimed at spreading awareness about oral health and hygiene among young learners.
At the Cantt.–Jandiala Road Campus, specially qualified and experienced alumna Dr. Astha Bowry conducted an interactive session for students. Children were sensitised about correct brushing techniques, the need for regular dental check-ups, and simple preventive habits to maintain strong and healthy teeth. Meanwhile, at the Kapurthala Road Campus, Dr. Bhawana( alumna) and her expert team carried out an informative Dental Care Session. Each child underwent a basic dental examination and received personalised guidance on oral hygiene. Key areas covered included the right method of brushing, benefits of routine dental visits, and the importance of a balanced, low-sugar diet to prevent cavities and gum infections. The engaging nature of the sessions encouraged students to ask questions and develop a clearer understanding of oral hygiene as an essential part of their overall   well-being.
Dr. Palak Gupta Bowry, Director CSR, mentioned that such initiatives under DISHA play a significant role in inculcating lifelong healthy habits among children. She reiterated the Trust’s commitment to organising regular health-awareness programmes to ensure the holistic development and well-being of students. Principals Sonali (Cantt.–Jandiala Road Campus) and Sheetu (Kapurthala Road Campus) expressed their gratitude to the dental experts for their dedicated efforts and for enlightening students on this vital aspect of health.
