Jalandhar, August 14, 2025: Embracing the theme “In Independence, We Find Our Essence”, Innocent Hearts School celebrated India’s Independence Day with a week-long series of vibrant cultural and creative events that blended artistic expression, patriotic fervour, and thought-provoking discussions.

The celebrations brought together students from Pre-school to Grade XII across all five campuses — Green Model Town, Loharan, Noorpur Road, Cantt.-Jandiala Road, and Kapurthala Road — along with participants from Innocent Hearts College of Education and Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions.

Pre-schoolers took part in Hindi Poem Recitation and Unity in Diversity activities. Grades I and II presented a colourful costume parade, Salute to Freedom Fighters, while Grades III and IV engaged in patriotic crafting inspired by national symbols. Grade V students designed slogan-based posters, and Grade VI showcased their culinary creativity through a Tri-colour Culinary Art activity.

Grades VII and VIII organised special assemblies featuring patriotic poems and speeches, while Grades IX and X participated in a spirited debate on “Freedom Comes with Responsibility”. Senior students from Grades XI and XII presented vibrant dance and song performances, along with an inspiring street play.

The Cultural Committee of Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions further enriched the festivities with poster-making, poetry recitals, skits, and group dances. Meanwhile, the NSS unit of Innocent Hearts College of Education conducted tri-colour handicraft and poster-making activities on the theme “Viksit Bharat”.

The week-long celebration concluded on a note of pride, unity, and gratitude — honouring India’s rich heritage and the sacrifices that made independence possible.
