Innocent Hearts School conducts an informative session on "Ill Effects of Drugs"
A special awareness session was conducted in Innocent Hearts School Noorpur Road campus on the topic “Ill-Effects of Drugs”. The session was conducted by the Station House Officer (SHO) of local police station Yadwinder Singh who was invited to educate students about the harmful consequences of drug abuse.

Jalandhar, October 06, 2025: A special awareness session was conducted in Innocent Hearts School Noorpur Road campus on the topic “Ill-Effects of Drugs”. The session was conducted by the Station House Officer (SHO) of local police station Yadwinder Singh who was invited to educate students about the harmful consequences of drug abuse.
Minakshi Sharma( Director of school) and Principal Jasmeet Bakshi warmly welcomed the guest. They presented a potted plant as a token of respect and gratitude to the SHO .He began the lecture by explaining how drug addiction starts, often through peer pressure or curiosity, and later becomes a dangerous habit. He highlighted the ill effects of this addiction , physical effects ; damage to the liver, lungs, and brain, as well as the psychological impact, including anxiety, depression, and loss of concentration. He also stressed the social consequences, like broken family relations, poor academic performance, and criminal activities.He strongly cautioned students against experimenting with drugs even once, as it could lead to a lifetime of regret. He also explained the legal consequences, making the students aware of strict laws and punishments related to drug possession and consumption.The lecture was very interactive, as students asked questions and shared their thoughts. The SHO advised everyone to adopt healthy habits and stay positive and always seek guidance from parents and teachers when in doubt.
The session was highly informative and inspiring. It created a strong awareness among students about the dangers of drugs and motivated them to lead a healthy and disciplined life.
