Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions organised guest lecture on World Cancer Day

Jalandhar: With an Objective to raise awareness about early stage diagnosis and preventive methods of Cancer, School of Medical Lab Science of Innocent Hearts Group of Institutions organized guest lecture on “Modern Revolutions in Cancer Prevention and Diagnosis”. The Resource person for the same was Dr. Archana Dutta, Senior Consultant Oncologist, PIMS, Jalandhar. Ms. Shivali Chadha (Assistant Prof., MLS Dept.) welcomed the resource person.

Initially, Dr. Archana enlightened the students regarding cancer development process in human body. During the lecture, she discussed the types of Cancer depending upon the diet, atmospheric conditions and life style of the human beings all across the world. She briefed about recent diagnostic modalities like PET, PSMA, PAP and Gallium Scan. Dr. Archana also acquainted the students with vaccination process of cervical cancer that helps to get the primary prevention from disease. Resource person emphasized that early detection can be the reason for curing the disease. All abrupt changes in body phenomenon like weight loss, sharp downfall in haemoglobin etc. can be reported to your doctor timely for prevention.

Dr. Shailesh Tripathi (Group Director, Innocent Hearts) presented a vote of thanks to Dr. Archana Dutta and stated that everyone should have to adopt healthy lifestyle to prevent from this disease.
