Innocent Hearts College of Education celebrated National Energy Conservation Day

Jalandhar, December 14, 2021: Innocent Hearts College of Education, Jalandhar celebrated National Energy Conservation day with the objective of spreading mass awareness about using energy efficiently in our daily life. Various competitions were organized on the theme of this year’s celebration that is "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav: Energy Efficient India". 
With the help of working models like Techno vibes, Flywheel, windmill etc, the student-teachers demonstrated the impact of conscious energy conservation on our environment and well-being. The ways and means to conserve energy in our day to day life were illustrated through power-point presentations.
Ms. Vishali Arora, a student-teacher of B.Ed. Sem-I achieved first prize in the preparation and demonstration of a working model on ‘Solar Power Stadium’. She explained that most widely used sources of energy take thousands of years for formation. Solar energy is a vital renewable resource which is used over the world to produce electricity and fulfill our mechanical needs. Some student- teachers represented videos of scientific simulation. They gave tips to use energy properly in the kitchen and at homes.
 Principal Dr. Arjinder Singh said that implementing these energy conservation strategies will have a positive impact on our lives. He appreciated efforts made by the whole team and explained that it is very much important to conserve energy for our future generation. In the end, a pledge was taken of not wasting any type of energy at homes and workplaces.
