Inner Wheel Club of Jalandhar Welcomes District Chairman Dr. Jasmine Kaur Gill on Official Visit
Inner Wheel Club of Jalandhar had the honour of welcoming District Chairman Dr. Jasmine Kaur Gill on her Official Visit. The Executive and General Body Meeting was held at a local hotel in a warm and vibrant atmosphere. The Chairman was given a traditional welcome with dhol beats and a showering of flower petals.
Jalandhar, October 1, 2026: Inner Wheel Club of Jalandhar had the honour of welcoming District Chairman Dr. Jasmine Kaur Gill on her Official Visit. The Executive and General Body Meeting was held at a local hotel in a warm and vibrant atmosphere. The Chairman was given a traditional welcome with dhol beats and a showering of flower petals.
Master of Ceremony Inderkiran Toor commenced the proceedings with the decoration of the dais, followed by the Inner Wheel protocols. The Inner Wheel Prayer was recited and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp marked the auspicious beginning of the meeting. President Nidhi Sehgal extended a warm welcome to the Chairman and delivered her presidential address, highlighting the various projects undertaken by the club so far.
Secretary Punam Jagota and Treasurer Rekha Arora presented their respective reports, while Joint Secretary Anita Chawla announced the birthdays of members. Seema Arora presented the projects planned to be undertaken on the same day.
A proud moment of the occasion was the release of the club’s Golden Jubilee bulletin, “The Golden Footsteps,” published by Club Editor Niru Chawla. The commemorative bulletin was released by District Chairman Dr. Jasmine Kaur Gill in the presence of PDCs, club office bearers and members. Jaswant Minhaas Ji presented the Chairman’s biodata with great finesse.
The Chairman inspected the club files, appreciated the work undertaken by the club and shared valuable suggestions for further progress. The meeting was further enlivened with entertaining songs, games and a vibrant giddha performance. Tokens of love were presented to MOC Inderkiran Toor and Project Coordinators Anita Chawla and Niru Chawla in appreciation of their contribution.
The celebrations continued with the cutting of a beautiful Inner Wheel theme cake, followed by a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Vice President Nimmi Chaudhary.
As part of the Official Visit, the club undertook several meaningful service projects: A young lady running her own parlour and kiryana shop was supported with repairs to the doors of her shop; A patient bed for a person suffering from bedsores, along with a walker, was donated to Vikram Hospital for needy patients; An oxygen cylinder was donated to Civil Hospital for the benefit of needy patients; A young girl pursuing Psychology in college was supported with a set of books to assist her studies; A very needy man was supported for his eye surgeries and both his eyes were successfully operated upon; A house help whose brother required neurosurgery was provided full support towards his surgery and medication; One hundred pieces of formal ladies clothing suitable for weddings were donated to PEHAL NGO; and as part of Inner Wheel branding and awareness, a flex board displaying the Inner Wheel logo was put up at Model Town Market.
